To find an existing project:

There are two search functions:


Group search

(Available to all users)

On the left sidebar, look for the box called "search"; click on the "IDB groups search"; a new window will open with a list of 8 groups outlined by pictograms and an additional group with a sigma sign; make your choice and click on the selected one. A new window will open with all entries related to this group or, if you click on the sigma sign, displaying all the entries in the Innovation Database in alphabetic order.


Full text search

(Available to all users)

A full text search function also exists; Fill in a certain term in the search window, click on the search button and the process is started covering all innovations of the database and eventually displays all those containing the given term.


To add a new entry (project) to the database:

(Available to registered users with password and writing access)

Log in with your user name and password, On the left sidebar, in the box called "navigation", click on "Add new entry (innovation)", Assign the new entry to the appropriate group, enter the title of the new project and click the "add or edit" button (or hit "Enter"), then complete all necessary fields of the template. Click the "save page" button before you leave this page or otherwise the information will be lost. We recommend using the "edit with form" link to insert texts. Bullets and numbered lists can be added by using either (*) for bullets or hashes (#) for numbers

Insert a text with a colon at the end before inserting bullets or a numbered list. All changes have to be saved again by pressing the "Save page" button. It is possible to choose the preview mode to gain an overview of the changes carried out; afterwards click the "Save page" button again.

! NOTICE: titles must beginn with a capital(uppercase)letter; numbers/digits are not allowed as first character of a title.

To upload a file (e.g. photo) into an existing entry

Besides text, it is also possible to insert files (e.g. tables, photos etc.) into an entry. They should preferably be in the jpg or tif format. Log in with user name and password. Go to the left sidebar, box "navigation". Click the link "Upload file (into existing entry)" in the left sidebar, search for the file to be uploaded, click "Upload file" at the bottom. Repeat this procedure according to the number of files to be uploaded. Click the innovation database link and the appropriate project. Click the edit link on top of the article’s page, move the cursor to the position where to insert a figure, table or photo, use the following mark-up

Click the "Save page" button again to store or click "Show preview" or "Show changes" button; insert the next figure, click the "Save page" button.

To comment on existing projects

(Available to all users with log in and password)

Log in with your user name, follow the steps described above to find an "existing project" to which you want to add a comment. Click the "discussion" link in the upper menu bar; a new window opens. Fill in your comments and / or remarks in the box; afterwards click the "Save page" button.
