Funding at a glance
Regarding infrastructure development France is currently investing in the realisation of the canal Seine-Nord and the implementation of River Information Services (RIS), both co-financed by the EU's Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) budget.
At present, specific national funding programmes for the inland waterway transport (IWT) sector are available for fleet modernisation and the promotion of the occupation of IWT operator, for the development of waterside transhipment facilities, for regular combined transport services and in support of combined transport.
