Funding at a glance
The State Fund of Transport Infrastructure manages financial means for national transport infrastructure investments in the Czech Republic. In the period 2007–2013 these investments will be supported by the EU financial instruments European Regional Development Fund and Cohesion Fund. Several River Information Services (RIS) are already in operation in the Czech Republic.
At present, specific national funding programmes for the inland waterway transport (IWT) sector exist for inland fleet modernisation, for compensating IWT operators for deficient boating conditions on the Elbe and in support of the development of combined transport.
